Clean spills right away by blotting with a clean, white sponge or cloth. Professional cleaning is recommended. Use a proper rug pad to prevent slipping, add cushioning, and increase durability. Shedding is normal. When vacuuming, use a vacuum without a beater bar or one with the bar set to the highest pile setting. If your vacuum has power settings, choose low. Vacuum the entire length of the rug, then turn and repeat in the next area instead of vacuuming back and forth.
